Floor Tiles

Well, folks we were woofing away this afternoon when a truck drove by and dropped off a pallet of tiles. When Dad got home he was happy. We had to ask him, what are we going to do with all those tiles.

He smiled and said, "The next project is to tile the floors."
We barked "Dad, the floors are fine."

"Those cement patches in the floors are not okay guys."
"The patches give the house character Dad."

Needless to say , we lost the discussion and next week project tile da floors starts.

Doesn't the patch give the house character!

23 September

The kitchen is just about done. To celebrate Dad got some new frozen dog treats and the Super Market. We have to admit they taste pawsome, but then the flavor is Peanut Butter and Cheese. Aroooooo. You can tell from the pictures, we like this frozen Dogsters Treat.

A flavor we like PB & Cheese
Oh, you hoomans want to know about the kitchen. Well, we have a new stove, microwave, dishwasher and sink. The stove has a glass top and looks great. The microwave has a hood fan and Dog Dad tells us it is a lot bigger and the popcorn bags don't get stuck while moving around. The dishwasher is a lot quieter than the old one. We hardly notice when it is running. Essex told me the old one used to make a lot of noise and she would stay close to Dad when it was running.
All that is left to do is install the switch for the garbage disposal, which we are waiting for it to come in from the mainland. A new switch by the refrigerator and one outlet on the counter installed. After that is done, the floors will be tiled and new baseboards put in. That project will start in October. We all need a short break to reorganize ourselves. The winter promises to bring cooler weather, open windows and painting.
Don't worry Dad, Essex is on Guard

New Angel Paw Pals

While we miss our old pals, we have met so new ones. Today we met Nieco, a happy four-month old husky puppy. He played a bit with Deacon. Essex let the pupster know that she was the Secretary of Da Fence, but she is pretty good with puppies. We hope to see a lot more of Nieco. Another new dog is Jethro, a Redbonene Coonhound. Jethro and Rocky are real good pals, both seem to have the same disposition.

There are still some old pals at Angel Paws. Sasha, the Rat Terrorist, still likes to get after other dogs. Sasha has never tried to cross Essex though. Sasha doesn't rough house with Deacon as much now.

The tiles between the cabinets and granite counter top have been put in. They have yet to be grouted, be things are looking pretty pawsome. Stove, dishwasher and microwave are due in Saturday. The electrician should put in the new outlets tomorrow or Saturday. Things are looking good and we are ready for those projects to end.

Rocky & Kitchen Update

Rocky

Deacon has a new paw pal at the park. His name is Rocky. Rocky and Deacon, chase, run and wrestle. They are funny to watch when then lie side-by-side on the ground and wrestle. Rocky went up to see if Essex wanted to play, but she gave him the look. That look stopped Rocky in his tracks folks.

As for the kitchen the granite counter tops and sink have been put in. We think they look pretty good. The new appliances come in next Saturday. Sears doesn't stock them in the Keys anymore. The area between the granite and cabinets will have tile installed. Should be interesting folks. We can't wait for the smell of cheddar collies hot from the new oven.

Coast to Coast Paw Pals

Good news, we got an ebark from our pals Jack & Bear in Virginie and then a sonic ebark from PJ out West in California. Wowsers, Angel Paw dogs are now coast to coast.
Zoe
Jack & Bear told us there was a change in plans as to who was going to come live with them. The pup that decided to live with the brothers is a female Border Collie & Lab mix named Zoe. Dog Dad thinks she looks a lot like Pudgy, the five scent dog that adopted him when he was just a boy. Zoe is as quick as lightning and promises to keep the boys on their toes. She should be more than be able to hold her own with Jack & Bear. The Three Pup-skateers are having adventures and enjoying cooler weather.

Out west, PJ is becoming enjoying San Francisco. The cooler weather is pawsome, though they are still looking for a house. He wanted to send us this picture of him, his Dog Mom and Hooman Sister with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background. Just crossing the bridge once would be a good walk because it is is 8,981 feet long (2,737 meters) or around 1.7 miles or 2.7 kilometers. The construction of the bridge began on 5 January 1933. The bridge opening celebration began on 27 May 1937. Come to think of it, Grand Paw is older than the Golden Gate Bridge. Wowsers.

It is always good to hear from Angle Paw Pals. On the home front, our kitchen should be done this weekend. We sure are looking forward to that.
