Foggy Day

The last two mornings we woke up to fog. Now that is normal for a lot of places, but it just isn't common here in Key West. Dog Dad remembers seeing lots of fog when he lived in Grand Forks, North Dakota; Lompoc, California or even Cleveland, Ohio. Heck, Ludo probably sees it every day. It was kind of neat to walk in the fog, though we weren't to thrilled with the wet paws.

Foggy day - What is out there?

Talking about paws, Essex stepped in some black gunk Thursday. Dad washed it off when we got home, but the left front paw looked irritated. Essex of course licked the paw some more. Dad started felt like he was getting sick. He spent a lot of time in bed the last two days, except to take us out to the dog park. Since the paw looks irritated, Dad told Essex that she is restricted from going to Angel Paws until she that paw gets better. He might even put a sock over the paw if she doesn't leave it alone.

More paw woes for Essex

I wonder if she will whoop up on me, if Dad takes me to the park and not her? I could take over fence patrol for the day. Do you think it would be worth the chance? Is Dad unfair it not letting her go to the park?

Dog Speed,

Deacon

Hey Collies -- Take care of that paw, Essex, and take care of your dad!!!!

We appreciate your thoughts about haircut versus dinner -- but we needed the haircuts anywat, so dinner was just an extra "lagniappe."

We'll be blogging about it in a bit.

Woofs, pals. Stay well!!!

Fog and palm trees! How cool is that! Poor Essex, and poor Dad! I think you, Jake, will have to take care of both of them!

We get fog A LOT down here in Tejas! Mom hates going to work in it.
Poor Essex! If I come over and give her footy some Macky healing sugars do you think it will make it better?

Fog's nice - it's good that you get a little of it so you're not deprived! My brother Higgins, may he rest peacefully in the Great Forest Beyond, had a paw like that once. My human made him stand it in a bowl of warm salty water four times a day and it went away. Get well Soon, Essex!
