A Bit Blue

It has been a bit of a troubled week. Friday morning we found out about the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Then today the news was talking about the nuclear reactors. We sure hope that everything works out well.

Yesterday, Dad found out that Benjamin, the white collie passed away last year. We blogged about him January 2010, when he came down to visit. Benjamin contracted lyme disease and crossed the bridge at his home in Maine. Benjamin was ten years old. His hooman Mom and Dad came over to talk to Dad yesterday at Angel Paws. Both us can smell collie people and even Essex let them pet her. The hoomans talked about collies for quite awhile. Benjamin's hooman pawrents intend to get another collie later this year.

Then today we find out that our Dog Blog pal Cookie crossed the bridge at almost thirteen years old. Cookie led a good life and had an excellent family. If you get a chance, stop by give her Mom some moral support. This helps ease the pain hoomans feel whenever a good dog chum crosses the rainbow bridge.

We'll try to get some pictures at Angel Paws tomorrow. We want to tell you about the current cast of characters at the Park.

We're very sorry about Benjamin and Cookie.

You might want to check the link to Cookie's blog. It actually leads to a photo of Cookie. We checked your sidebar and went by to leave a comment, though.

It seems to be the year for so many of our friends to be passing over the rainbow bridge - but at least they will have lots of company and they can run and be happy together

We're sorry you're feeling blue -- admittedly you have lots of reasons to feel that way losing good pals and then thinking about what's going on in the r est of the world.

These are strange times, aren't they? But our humans need us dawgs to make them feel better, so we all have huge responsibilities to do that!!!

I know, it's been a hard week to watch the news. And such pain for so many people and us not having any way to make anything much better for anyone. Sigh.

Hang tight guys (and girl)...give your Dad an extra cuddle from Katie and me up here...maybe we'll hear some good news next week.

We went over to visit Cookie's Mom...and we're sorry to hear about Benjamin. He sure was a beautiful dog!

That is a stressful month, it is hard to hear about collies passing away. I wish we could all live lots longer.
