Cone of .....
Okay, Dad is upset with me. I am stuck wearing this cone when he goes to bed or goes to work. Thursday Dad noted a little spot and put some otomax on it that night and in the morning. When he got back from work Friday, I made it into a huge spot. Boy was he grumpy.
Saturday morning off to see the Doc Waddell, our vet. No openings, but there is one Monday. So Dad got a cone for me. I was a bit upset about it, but Dad made sure I wore the cone. We went to the park Sunday and we saw a bald eagle in a big tree in the field across the street. Sigh, Dad forgot his camera.
We see Doc on Monday and Dad sighs relief as there is no infection. They cut hair and shave the spot, putting a huge visible spot on my rear flank. As we are leaving the Vets, Dad tells me no dog park. I'm like come on Dad, but he is adamant. No park for four or five days, that side has to heal. Sigh, there is no winning when Dad gets that look in his eyes.

Oh no - the dreaded cone of shame - you are a silly boy licking at it at making it worse - but I know how it feels when you get itchy - you just have to scratch and bite at it. Hopefully it heals soon - did they say what caused it?
It's so hard to leave those spots alone when you are so itchy!

Wow..that's prett sad, an ouchie, a cone AND no dog park. Guess you'll have to rethink the whole licking the itchy spot thiing. Hope you feel better by NEXT weekend so you can have fun at the park!

Your cone is almost as big as the one on my house for the tv! OJ saw the picture and added "Holy CATS! that's a HUGE cone of shame". AND you get shaved AND no dog park??????? You poor boy! Sure hope you get better soon & remember that your Dad is only doing what is best for you.

Poor Shermee...no dog park, a bald spot (gets worse as u get older trust me) and u gotta wear a space alien cone. It could be worse...dad could make u listen to that "Alien" song by Katey Perry and dye yur hair psychedelic pink BOL :-) We in his pack family know that look he gives when he makes up his mind, similar to his mom's when she got in that mood. Sit by his side, put yur head in his lap and give him those big innocent doggie eyes...he will soften up and you will be outta the dog house in no time!
Aaww..Hope it heals quickly so that you can visit the dog park again.
