Pharaoh Hounds

They have only come to Angel Paws twice, but I enjoyed meeting them both times.  They are two Pharaoh Hounds.  They have Italian names and I can't remember the names.  They are great looking pups that run a lot.  So I had fun running with them.  I hope to see them more often.

My what big ears they have! Kinda like Buddies lately, standing straight up. Must get them re-glued this week. Hopefully they'll stay down this time. You're looking good Sherman. All that running at Angel Paws must agree with you...

Those are beautiful dogs indeed and gosh those ears could hear an ant sneeze!

Running with the hounds eh Sherman!! They are such interesting dogs, especially as we can see them depicted on the ancient Egyptian pyramid walls!!

Cool looking dogs! How old are they? Are their ears that big or are the dogs still growing into them?

What strange looking dogs! I've seen this breed before and thought they looked Egyptian. One of the Egyptian pilots I regularly briefed weather to while stationed with the military in The Azores showed me pics of his dog that was this same breed. Big ears and a very lithe, athletic body. Supposedly very smart too. Glad Sherman is seeing old friends, playing and running his energy out. All good things concerning being a healthy dog! :-)
