Good News From Dayton

We got an email from Dad's sister late yesterday.  Brudder Steve is okay.  No land line because electricity is out at his house  and his cell phone had died.  Sister Becky knew a hooman that could check up on him and they got word back to her.

He was several blocks away from areas that were badly damaged.  We are happy he is well.

Worried Dog Dad

Dad is worried about his brudder Steve.  Steve lives in Dayton, Ohio where they had all those tornadoes.  None of Dad's siblings has heard from him.  From what his sister Becky told him, he has been having problems with his cell phone.  The land line goes directly to email without ringing, which suggests something is wrong with the phone.

Becky knows one of Steve's friends in the area.  They will be checking on him late tonight.  Steve is in our thoughts and prayers.  We are staying close to Dad, while he waits to find out.

Need A Name

We have been after Dad to post things, but he has been slow.

Back on 26 February we received a package from Angel dog Sasha's Mom.  She had been helping a friend clean up a rental house and found an awesome collie figurine.  She immediately thought of our pack.  Dad told her of course he would take the statue.

Dad hadn't talked to Sasha's Mom since Sherman was a little pup.  He was touched that she remembered him and the collies.  We love the figurine but can't think of a good name.  Maybe one of you could suggest one.

Lots of memories came back when the figurine arrived.  Dad told of stories of Essex and Deacon, the opening of Angel Paws, Daniel, Hooter, Sasha, PJ and a number of other pups from that time.  We enjoyed listening to Dad ramble on.

A New Leash In Life

Cyber-paw pals Gemini's flexi leash died yesterday morning.  Dad put it on Gemini, out the door we went and the leash decided not to retract back.   We walked about ten yards and Dad said this isn't going to work, because we kept getting tangled in the leash.  In we went and out came the long orange leash.  Dad put in on Gemini and we went for our walk.

Dad went to work, and on the way back got a new flexi and some dog treats.  Gemini got to try the new leash this morning.  Gemini loved being on a flexi leash again.  We only use the flexi on walks.

Well time fur Dad to put things together fur going to work.

March Pals

Well cyber paw pals, Dad is finally posting.  March has been slow at Angel Paws for the most part.  We did have a couple pals come visit Angel Paws from up north.  First there is Buster, who lives near Niagara Falls.  Gemini remembered him when he visited several years back.  The two of them played a lot together.  We sure hope he makes it back next year.

Next there was Wrigley.  Wrigley lives close to Chicago and he is a big Cubs fan.  He played with both Gemini and Buster. Buster left about a week ago and Wrigley several days later.  The park is really hit and miss now.

The weather is still nice, but hot summer days will be here sooner than we care for.

Daisy and Buggy

We have been meaning to post, but Angel Paws have kept us busy.  We spend a lot of time there.  Dad is trying to keep up with our home and yard.  We think the home and yard are winning.

Our pals Daisy and Buggy returned for a month.  It was good seeing them.  Gemini played a bit with Daisy.  Running around the dog park.

It was nice playing with them this month.  Dad was sad to see them go, as he talked with their Mom and Dad.

Wolf Moon and Sasha

Dad found out early Sunday that there was going to be a full moon and a lunar eclipse.  So he stayed up late to watch it.  We had plenty of clouds, but every once in awhile there was a gap in the clouds.  So Dad saw the eclipse.  He tried to take pawtographs of the eclipse, but they just didn't turn out.  We did get a pawtograph hours before the eclipse of the full moon through the clouds.  A full moon in January is called a "Wolf Moon."  We were howling mad and told Dad it should be either a Husky Moon or a Collie Moon.

We found out the next day that Sasha the Rat Terrorist crossed the Rainbow Bridge earlier on the 20th.  Sasha was good friends with Essex and Deacon.  She had left Key West in March 2011, so neither Sherman or Gemini had met her.  Thinking of Sasha brought back plenty of pawsome memories for Dad.  He told of plenty of them on Monday, while he was off for Martin Luther King Day.  We had to smile about her playing with Deacon and Dad talking about those Days from many Dog Moons ago.  We are sure she is playing with Essex and Deacon.
