Blue Wednesday

Dad just got a call from his sister today. She told him that Grand Ma will probably go over the rainbow bridge in a week or less. Grand Ma was born the same year of Charles Lindberg's historic solo flight across the Atlantic Ocean. Grand Ma has lived a full life and the last five years has prepared Dad mentally for this. He knows it will hit him like a brick when it happens though. He told us there has always been a part of Grand Ma and family with him where ever he goes. Hoomans are so sentimental.

Dad is packing and intends to get on the road Friday for the long drive north. He is growling about bad weather. He pays a lot of attention to the weather fronts during the winter. We couldn't find a Lassie episode with this in it, so we'll keep him company and lick his face when he feels sad. We should see Clyde, Hattie and Cassie again. We may even see snow for the first time. We will keep in touch when ever we don't feel to blue.

Hi guys, it's so good of you to be there for your human when he needs you! Fur and slobber always helps (though not all humans appreciate it!) Tell him to let your grandma know that all of our furry friends will be waiting at the rainbow bridge to accompany her with hearts full of love!

And when you have time, I have a little something for you, so stop by when you can

All our best on this sad journey. It's never easy to lose a parent, no matter how "prepared" one is for the inevitable.

We're so sorry to hear about your grandma wanting to go across the rainbow bridge. But she won't be alone there... our grandpas and one grandma are there, too. We know dogmom will be really sad when our other grandma wants to cross it. Good of you guys to help your dogdad with lots of kisses and cuddles.
