Barky Easter - 2013

We hope all of you had a pawsome Easter.  We enjoyed celebrating with Dad and getting extra treats.  This Easter our pals Kiana and Tonks stopped over with there pawrents.  Sherman had a lot of fun chasing with Tonks.  Essex just chilled out.   All the pups fell asleep afterwards.
Essex & Sherman Are Easter Collies
We thought we chewed up the Bunny Ears, but we were wrong.  We were stuck wearing them once again.  The good part is we get treats to pose like this.
Stonewall Guards the Lamb Cake
Stonewall Wears the Ears Too
Like most Easters Dad made a lamb cake.  The lamb cake has a long history in our family.  Grand Maw used to make one when Dog Dad was a little boy.  Dad had to search high and low to find a lamb mold to make the cake.  It is like he is back with Grand Maw and Grand Paw as a little boy.   Stonewall did a pawsome job of guarding the cake and even got into the act of wearing bunny ears.  We did get to go to Angel Paws too today.  The weather was pawtastic.

Hope you had a holy and safe Easter.

Dog Speed,

Essex & Sherman

At least you got treats for posing. It's cool your Dog Dad has traditions.

We had a great Easter. The Easter bunny left us great treats and we got lots of play time.

Mom did make a mean lamb cake for Easter. We were Polish, so the lamb (butter or cake) with the little red and white flag stuck in it was tradition. Miss those days and mom and dad too. It's good u had company over (u know us bachelors on holidays BOL) and the dogs had their fun to the point of exhaustion. BUT I really think those bunny ear hats are collie mind control devices to convince unsuspecting humans to give out more treats...or maybe Essex was posing for Playdog and Sherman is going Metrosexual. Bowsers, I'm confused! BOL :-) Love ya, Joe, and thx for the old family memories u brought back to mind and for pics that make me smile :-)

We can't believe that your dad made you wear those bunny ears again. Hide them, quick, so he can't find them next year!!!

Our friends, who are Polish, also make a lamb cake -- it's a lovely tradition. Better than bunny ears, right???
