Fay Was Gentle

We are happy to say Tropical Storm Fay has been very very kind to us.

The day started with our early morning walk, followed by second walk around Dog Dad figured when he took us for a walk at 10 AM it would be our last of the day. We stayed in the house watching the weather channel and local news following the progress of Fay. Then the power went out for 45 minutes. We are not sure what happened because the weather didn't seem that bad. We all took a quick nap in the dark. We awakened when the power came back on. We turned the local news back on after awhile. We were able to go for another walk around 5 PM.

We check out the yard afterwards. The only thing we noticed were a couple of palm fronds that fell down. Palm fronds are great to play with.

We hope Fay is just as kind to Jake & JH, Booker, Buster and everyone else she might touch. We really appreciate those of you that dropped a note, prayed and wished us the best of luck. It meant a lot to us.

Essex & Deacon

Woof!!!!

We're so glad you checked in and that Fay was gentle with you. She's been gentle here too -- although if you listen to the media, you wouldn't know it. We've had rain and will have more, but no thunder storms and no heavy winds.

Between us dogs, we've seen worse in an average summer storm. But you never know -- that's why we have to take these things seriously.

Let's hope nothing more rough is out there before the season is over.

So glad to hear you are all safe. Mom and I were watching news reports from Key West and they said it was mainly rain and wind but that were expecting another band this evening. Hey, you two need the Aussie Driazbones rain slickers.....did you know they made them dogs!!!

Fay has been about on par with a stormy summer day. So far so good ... let's hope that the west coast fares as well. We all need the rain, so this hasn't been a bad thing. Hope she dumps some water on Lake Okeechobee.

That's a relief. I was just a bit worried about all of you. I hope your furs didn't get mussed.

Lucky the storm passed you by gently. I don't like storms, but in the event of one, your dog bed is the best place to be!
