Angel Paws 2011

We have been busy lately and Dad has been mumbling about some guy named Ira S. Ira sure has kept Dad busy shuffling through papers. Well now to the good stuff, time to show you pictures of this years frequent visitors. After all, a new year brings new friends even as old friends leave.

Kiana

Tonks
First there is Kiana and Tonks the Husky sisters. They came down from Boston to live in the Keys West. Their pawrents keep them busy and their Mum is frequently brings in treats. So she is one of Deacon's favorite hoomans. They are a fun pair that romp with Deacon sometimes. Essex won't let them help with fence patrol though.

Duke (above) and Max (below)

Next is Duke and Max. Duke is young German Shepherd that is playful and gets in trouble from time to time. Max is his older brudder and he loves to get his butt scratched.

Sidney and Brooke

Next are the sisters Brooke and Sidney, who were frequent visitors last year. Brooke is an Australian Cattledog-Catahoula mix, while Sidney is an Australian Shepherd. They play the most when their pawrents are trying to leave Angel Paws. Silly sisters.

Jethro

Our pal Jethro is still at Angel Paws, so we talk to him about our paw pals that have left Key West.

We hear the Supper Bowl being filled, so it is time to go.

Gagarin

If you know our Dad, he is a PBS kind of guy. So today we got to go in the WABAC machine to travel back fifty years to find out about a cosmonaut named Yuri Gagarin. Gagarin left the bonds of mother earth at 0607 UTC on 12 April 1961. He was the first hoooman in space. His mission lasted 1 hour and 48 minutes.

From Wikipedia

We kept poking our noses in Dad's ribs and barking "Three years and five months after Laika the Dog went into outer space." That just proves how much braver we dogs are than a hoomens. A lot has changed since those days many moons ago, but the Collies bark about a brave cosmonaut that ventured into a brave new world called outer space. Dog Speed Essex & Deacon
