Deacon 4th Barkday

Well cyber paw pals, Deacon is four years old today. It doesn't seem like it has been four years.

Both of us got to eat some peanut butter and cheese ice cream, have some extra sharp cheddar cheese and some extra treats. Deacon got some big hugs from dog dad too. We need to get going, Dog Dad wants to give Deacon some more attention.

Trip Paw-to-graphs

It took us some time but here are our trip pictures. After leaving Key West, we went to Valdosta, Georgia and spent some time visiting with Lady I and Lady II. The next day we traveled to Cincinnati to spend time with Clyde. Clyde's bed was so comfy, Essex decided to claim it. BOL. After three days we drove up North to Elyria to visit Grand-Paw and Dad's two sisters. On the way we passed an Amish Buggy and barked like a foamy dog.

We stayed with our Dad's sister, his boring nephews and Rosie the cat. His nephews played X-Box all day, even though the weather was nice outside. We have to visit our good pals Hatti and Cassi in Amherst, Ohio. That was a lot of fun and a poofing session.

No it is not all from Essex. All four were poofed.

We had fun visiting Grand-Paw at the nursing home. Even Clyde came up with his family from Cincinnati to visit.

We stopped on our way back to visit Lady I and Lady II in Valdosta, Georgia. They took us out to the city dog park and we had a pawsome time. We loved seeing them and had a good time.

Southward Bound

We will be leaving Northern Ohio today. We'll stop by to visit Grand-Paw one last time on the way. The first stop will be to visit cousin Clyde in Cincinnati. We are hoping to see another deer.

We'll post pictures when we get home. Dad has been mumbling about forgetting a cord for his camera. You have been seeing pictures from his siblings cameras.

Happy Pawther's Day

We hope that everyone has a pawsome Pawther's Day. We went out to the nursing home and visited Grand Paw. He really enjoys seeing us. We were there with Grand Paw and his two sisters, and three of their children.

It was an amazing time as we visited about ten other people. We would walk by a room and the people would motion Dog Dad to come in. Deacon would go right up to the people, get tons of pets and gave kisses to several of them. Essex made sure Dog Dad was between her and the strangers. During all of this Dad shook his head and said "Essex, you silly girl."

Here is a picture of Rosie the cat. She tolerates us and Deacon must have been sniffing her from about five inches a couple times.

Arrived Safe

We are safe and sound in Northern Ohio. The first day we drove to Valdosta, Georgia and spent the night with our good friends Lady I and Lady II. It was a lot of fun to see them and both of them are a lot thinner.

The next two days we were visiting our cousin Clyde in Cincinnati, Ohio. Clyde and a deer were about two inches apart. Unfortunately Dog Dad camera needed new batteries.

Now we are in Northern Ohio visiting Rosie the Cat. We saw Cassie and Hattie. It was a lot of fun and there was a lot of wagging collie tails.

Northward Bound

Dog Dad was rushing around yesterday. He was muttering so much to do, so little time. He started getting the car ready and told us we were heading North to Ohio. We'll be visiting all our pals.

We'll see Lady I, Lady II, Hattie, Cassie, Clyde and Rosie the Cat. That sure makes us happy though Dad looks tired. It will be tough keeping up with stuff, but we'll try to keep up with every pup.

Cooler weather, dog pals and Dog Dad not going to work. A collie could get used to this.

We Remember

On TV and in the newspaper we noticed the subject of D-Day was brought up. So we asked Dog Dad what he knew about it. He told us it was many, many dog moons ago when Grand-Paw was a young pup. There was terrible fighting taking place in Europe and Asia. A bunch of soldiers landed to free Europe from some terrible goings on. A lot of those young men never made it back home.

He told us Grand-Paw was still in the United Kingdom when D-Day took place. Grand-Paw landed several days later. The nightmare Grand-Paw was in a place called Hurtgen Forrest. That is a story for another time and place.

Today we remember those who sacrificed their lives on 6 June 1944 in a far away place called France. The picture below is of Grand-Paw in Paris, France after VE Day.
